Santorini: Guided Wineries Private Tour with Wine Tastings

5.0 (43 verified reviews)

About This Experience

A private tour of three estates with your own vehicle, driver and guide, and an optional sommelier if you want the tasting taken seriously. At 4.99 across 43 reviews it has the highest rating of anything in this catalogue.

It opens in a 19th-century winery carved into the volcanic rock — the home of the Art Space Wine Museum, where the old cellars still hold the original tools alongside a contemporary art collection. From there it moves through two further estates.

Four small glasses at each of the three wineries, with a light snack served alongside each tasting, and entrance fees to all three included. Because it is private, the pace is yours: you can spend longer where you like it and skip the part you do not.

Being quoted per booking rather than per head, this is often better value for three or four people than it looks beside the shared tours.

Meeting Point

Hotel pickup, not a fixed meeting point. The operator collects from accommodation anywhere a vehicle can reach across Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli, Oia, Megalochori, Kamari and Perissa, and confirms your time by email after booking. If your hotel sits in a pedestrian-only lane — common in Oia and Imerovigli — you will be asked to walk to the nearest car-accessible corner. Cruise passengers are collected at the port; the Fira cable car is not included in the price.

What Travelers Say

Rated 5.0/5 by 43 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

The wine tasting was absolutely fantastic. We got to experience 3 wineries, 2 traditional and 1 modern. Was a lovely spread of different wines and very informative. Our guide Mike made the trip even better with his local knowledge and easy going personality.

We had a great time on our wine tour. All three wineries were wonderful, each with knowledgeable staff and its own unique character. Our driver was very friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. Art Space Winery was our favorite, but the other two wineries were excellent as well. Highly recommend!

George made our visit to Santorini’s wineries a fabulous experience. He selected 3 different places with various wine philosophies which gave us a nice opportunity to see the breadth of what the island offers. All had excellent wines with very good service staff who were knowledgeable and so friendly. We had a wonderful tour.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this private rather than small-group?

Your booking is the whole vehicle. There is no pickup loop collecting other guests, no fixed pace, and you can linger at whichever cellar you like.

What is Art Space?

A 19th-century canava — a winery cut into the volcanic rock — that now runs as both a working cellar and an art museum. The original presses and tools are still in place among the exhibits. It is the opening stop on this route.

Is a sommelier included?

Not by default. An expert guide accompanies you at each winery, and a sommelier can be added as an option if you want the tasting led in more technical detail.

I am arriving on a cruise ship — does this work?

Yes, the operator collects from the port. Budget for the Fira cable car separately: €6 per person each way, and it is not part of the tour price.
