The route opens in a vine field rather than a tasting room. You are shown kouloura — the low woven baskets Santorini trains its vines into, with the fruit ripening sheltered inside the coil against a wind that would strip an upright canopy. From there it moves through Domaine Sigalas and Estate Argyros, two of the island's most serious producers, before finishing at Santo Wines on the rim above Pyrgos.

Twelve small glasses is a genuine flight rather than a token pour: dry Assyrtiko, oak-aged Nykteri, usually an Aidani or a rosé, some Greek mainland wines for contrast, and Vinsanto to close. Greek cheese, tapas and snacks come alongside at each stop.

• The pours are mainly dry whites and dessert wines, because that is what Santorini produces. Some dry reds are served, but this is a white-wine island.
• Pickup begins before the stated start time. If you are first on the route you may be aboard 45–60 minutes before the last guest.

Meeting Point

The operator collects from accommodation anywhere a vehicle can reach across Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli, Oia, Megalochori, Kamari and Perissa, and confirms your time by email after booking.
